Streetours is a touristic, educational and cultural mobile application that aims to highlight curiosities of neighbourhoods and places in different cities that are not so well known and which we don\u2019t usually go to, unless we live in that neighbourhood. Even so, there is always something to discover.<\/p>

Streetours offers touristic routes that are out of mainstream guide and the user can do it at own pace and by convenience. This app aims to show the city\u2019s neighbourhoods, offer routes through them and discover places for local people, national and international tourism. The project is aimed at those who are not satisfied with just the mainstream tourist attractions, but are looking for more local tradition, neighbourhood stories, buildings or quiet places with charm. In addition, at some points questions or puzzles are introduced for those who want to play and have fun while you are using the app and experiencing the city in a different way.<\/p>

Streetours aims to turn the classic model of tourism, that means spread cultural tourism throughout the city and decentralize it to bring also economy to neigbourhoods. Using the application is very simple and accessible. Enter into the website: app.streetours.co<\/a> and create the account with our email address. Within a maximum of 1 minute, you will receive a confirmation email with the code, ensuring the security of the user at all times. In the future the application will be available on App stores for iPhone and Android.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

There is a possibility to be part of the community within the application and chat with another members. When you upload our photo, social networks, interests, etc. you are inside the community. Otherwise, if not you just continue with a simple profile. When you buy or select the route, all the points are unlocked and you can proceed to the first point by clicking on the button and then press the Google Maps that is incorporated. Once you have reached the point, listen the audio or read the text and then proceed to the next point.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The original idea was to do it by plaques or stickers with QR codes installed at the points and upload the content, but this was discarded for reasons of permission, street aesthetics and due to weather or vandalism. In addition, it has been studied in depth and it has been found that the use of QR is very residual and is not accessible to the entire target audience. The points of each route, within the application, already lead from one point to the next automatically and the information is loaded instantly, without having to rely on external QR codes or interactive maps.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Every route least 2.5 \u2013 3h, however, it can be interrupted or extended according to the user\u2019s needs. Flexibility of use is one of the main features of the application. LGBTIQ+ routes<\/strong> (Madrid and Barcelona) recompilation of points of interest, associations, bookshops, bars, etc. that represent the collective and its history within the city and the facts and events that have made the city what it is today. Activities, groups and outstanding related collectives are also included.<\/p>

ECO Routes:<\/strong> (Madrid and Barcelona) recompilation of points of interest that stand out for their sustainability in each neighbourhood. Its purpose is to announce places, shops and activities that can be found in the area and thus contribute to the growth of the local economy and spread the benefits throughout the city, supporting environmentally and economically sustainable activities. The user learns and a collective environmental awareness is fostered.<\/p>

All routes contribute to a better organisation of the city. First of all, by enriching local and foreign people to get to know the neighbourhoods better and to consume in these locations. In this way, local commerce is strengthened and the city can grow in a balanced way. It would not focus all tourism in the city centre, but would try to attract quality and conscious tourism to the neighbourhoods.<\/p>
